Finding Identity or Identity is given by God?

 

---Are we discovering our Identity or is Identity given to us by God?

---We all are starting life by God giving it to us.

---Then add-ons come to us by society, our parents, ourselves and when we make a decision to follow God, strongly by God who then reboot, remake, recreate, reverse actions, hold back or cancel evil desires, formatting us into the Example of Jesus by His Holy Spirit.

---So it seems as if identity is not to be discovered, unless you are not a believer, but is given to you by God, if you are.

---Are what? A believer. If you are a believer you are told how to live, how to act, how to think, what to look at, what to avoid, what not to look at, what to eat, what not to eat, where to go, where not to go, what to drink and what not to drink, it is all related to the way of life we are living, called lifestyle.

---Change your lifestyle and your thinking change.

---Change your thinking and God build your Identity to conform with the Identity already existing: the Revelation of God and Truth in the Bible, the unfolding of that truth in Adventism, the Fundamental Beliefs packed in the Church unfolded to you.

---Identity is thus provided from the Bible, from Ellen White thoughts on God and the Bible, from explanations of professors who delved deep into the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek of the biblical text and bring out surprising aspects you did not know before.

---The compact set is your Identity as believer not as unbeliever.

---Unbelievers are told by unbelieving Psychologists that you must act out your anger and not hold it back.

---Not so says the Bible, to believers. Do not act out your anger at all. Forgive your enemies.
