weary: 지쳐있는

earnestly: 진심으로

sinner: 죄인

 

2. Why should we tarry when Jesus is pleading,

pleading for you and for me?

Why should we linger and heed not his mercies,

mercies for you and for me?

 

tarry: 묵다, 늦어지다, 지체하다

plead: 변론하다, 탄원하다, 간청하다

linger: 우물쭈물 오래 머무르다

heed: ~에 주의하다

mercy: 자비

 

3. O for the wonderful love he has promised,

promised for you and for me!

Though we have sinned, he has mercy and pardon,

pardon for you and for me.

 

promise: 약속하다

sin: 죄, 죄를 범하다

pardon: 용서
