---Jacob was another Patriarch of Israel. He is mentioned in the Bible because of that.

---The Bible do not make secret of someone’s sins even if they are the heroes selected by the Holy Spirit. How different is the Bible historiography from national and patriotic historiography in ancient and modern times!

---Jacob was keen to get a blessing from his father and deceived him. His older brother was furious and he had to flee to Laban far away outside of the fury of his older brother.

---His mother told him to flee there and stay there and when Esau is no longer angry, she will send and fetch him to come back.

---But 20 years passed and she never called him back.

---She died before he came back.

---He suffered hardship in the foreign area. Even though it was his uncle.

---Through the hardship he grew closer to God and confessed his sins. He repented and got forgiveness. And then after he got forgiveness, the Lord started to bless him. He came back a very wealthy man.

---It is important for us to see that there is nothing between us and Christ. No worldly pleasures, no internal desires, no personal habits, no clinging to sinful acts or distractions.

---Nothing between. That is the rule. And when the sinner devotes his/her heart like this, God will work blessings and wonders in the person’s life.

---Are you suffering a discomfort of some trauma in your life or tragedy? First ask, what did I do wrong. A Christian should do that. Accept that there may be something and search the heart to see. If, then confess and repent and seek forgiveness which is definitely given.

---Then make all efforts not to repeat the mistake again. “Go and sin no more” is a line that is found often in Jesus, Paul in Romans and other books like Hebrews, James, Jude, Peter.

---The Apostles knew very well what overcome means.

---Jacob had to overcome his errors. It was a habit in his lifestyle. It took 20 years to clean.

---You can have it earlier if you learn the lesson quick enough and do something about it. Is that not true?
